Glass Fusion Artist – Fort Lauderdale artist Jane Lambert combines neon and fused glass in luminous wall sculptures and funky “art objects." Among her work: a charismatic collection of wide-eyed, wild-haired faces crafted from copper wire and bright shards of broken glass. New Florida visits Jane’s studio to watch her cut, shape & fuse glass into fine art.

Civil War Natural Bridge – In the final days of the Civil War, a rag-tag Confederate militia of young boys and old men managed to hold back experienced Union troops in what came to be known as the “Battle of Natural Bridge.” Now, Civil War buffs reenact that celebrated battle every year, and New Florida goes behind the scenes.

Orchid Society – Think of flowers from Florida, and orchids must surely come to mind. Given that these singular blooms have an almost sculptural beauty, a garden full of them would surely be stunning.
